Google on the the right road

OK, my buddy Tim at RedRVBus posted an interested article about Google reaching offline customers and I did not get it at first. Sitting here in San Francisco at the GPS Wireless conference I now see the light. Here is the missing piece of information that I did not have until now. In the very near future the radios like all other devices are not offline they are all connected. Like everything else will be and now your radio become part of your location based advertising.

Here is the scenario…You are driving down the road in a new town and your hungry. Your car knows where you are and up comes a commercial for Red Robin which just happens to be at the next exit. Location based advertising makes a lot of sense.

I think radio as we know it today AM/FM goes away and is replace with broadband broadcasting. Google is poising itself to take advantage of this evolution.
